Our city has about 36.000 citizens living on an area of 25 Km². Langen lies between Frankfurt (15 km) and Darmstadt (20 km). The city is in Hessen, the state with the highest business raise rate, in the heart of germany.

We have a history which goes back to the 12th century. The old part of the town lays close to the only street which connected the german south with the german north. As the years went by the small town became a beautiful small city. Todays Langen is a modern and multicultural city. About 99 different nationalities live and work together.

The Paul-Ehrlich-Science-Institute, the AirTrafficControlCenter and several Computer Companies (e. g. SUN, Panasonic, DELL, HP, Inprise, Apple, Bull) make Langen the so called "Silicon Valley" of the Rhein-Main-Area.

We are the geographical center of the most important industry and trade center. It is only 13 minutes from Langen to the biggest airport of the european continent and 18 minutes to the european banking center Frankfurt.
