Cracow is one of the biggest cities in Poland (nearly one million inhabitants), and a former capital. It is told to be a cultural capital of Poland. It's also one of the oldest cities in Poland (settled in the 10th century).

How does Cracow look like? In the middle there is the Wawel Castle (where our kings used to live) and an old town with huge Market Square. You can see here lots of old houses, churches, galleries, theaters and other interesting things like the Jagiellonian University which was established in the 14th century and is one of the oldest in Europe.

On the Wawel Castle, one of the cathedral towers contains the famous Sigismund Bell, which sound accompanies the most important church holidays and national events. It is said that bell's heart breaks when something dangerous is going to happen, e.g. it was broken in the begining of the year 1939... We don't want to scare you, but recently the heart was broken again...

One of the symbols of Cracow is dragon. The nice version of it you can see on the left. In original it was breathing with sulfer, and was eating only virgins (that's why in Cracow there are hardly any left... :-).
It is said that the dragon was killed by a brave young shoemaker, but you never know if he (or she!) layed any eggs before that... Who knows, maybe Spielberg will come again to Cracow to shoot Jurrassic Park 3!
