From what You heard about our country, these things are true:
We have been democracy since 1989.
We are in NATO and we are going to be a part of EU (soon).
Our GNP is one of the highest in Europe (4-7 % a year) and our economy is gettin' better and better.
(That's quite old. Right now we're having problems with our economy and deficit... /webmaster/).
Most of us are religious but except small groups we are not fanatics.
You can buy Coca-Cola and hamburger in McDonald's here - the same like in London or Prague.
Electrician was president of Poland, but if an actor was leading USA, why electrician should be worse? :-)

And here's another list of facts created from nothing and just simply untrue:
You can't see any white bears walking around in the city. We have some but they are in the ZOO.
We are not a republic of ZSRR or Russia and we had never been. Poland is fully independent country.
Not all of us steal cars and are lazy in the work. Most of us are honest and work really hard (sometimes abroad in foreign countries).
